The friend that opens the umbrella behind you so you can be a dilophosaurus is the best friend you’ll ever have.

This is literally a post I cannot not reblog.

Amazing.

Spring Semester Recap

I have been really bad about not writing anything on this blog.  The combination of classes and working part time does allow too much tumblr time.  Though, honestly, I don’t regret any of it.  My semester GPA is a 4.0!  Let’s face it, that’s difficult to do in engineering.

I did have some pretty awesome spring semester highlights!

My Vietnamese brother-from-another-mother took me out to the bars downtown for my birthday.  It was a really interesting night.  See, I get pretty awkward when I am surrounded with a large group of people that I don’t know.  My friends thought it would be a great idea to try and force me out onto the dance.  I have one pulling my arms and another pushing my back.  Next thing I know, I have five guys surrounding me shaking their butts in my direction.  I had no clue what to do, so I just put my hands up in the air.  I’ve been out with them a couple times since my birthday.  I just can’t bring myself to grind on someone.  I think it’s because I don’t like having anyone in my personal bubble unless we’re really close.

I forgot to mention my boss was awesome and got me a birthday cake!  We didn’t have 22 candles though, so we used binary.  Yes, we are a bunch of nerds.

I also rolled Toomers’ Oaks for the first and last time after our A-Day game.  I am the horrible Auburn student who is starting their fifth year on the Plains and never rolled the oaks.  Even when we won the national championship.  It was so much fun!  The only downside was the epic sunburn on my legs and arms.  Since we were sitting in the stadium, only the top of my thighs got sun exposure.  Needless to say, I have some funky tan lines now.

Towards the earlier part of the semester, my car was hit in a parking lot.  I walked up and saw all the damage.  Angry doesn’t even begin to describe my emotional reaction.  Calling my parents was horrible:  ”I promise it wasn’t my fault.  I don’t know what happened.  I just found it this way.”

My car was in the body shop for about two weeks.  Nothing like being forced to take the Tiger Transit.  The icing on top of the cake was finding a dead armadillo right beside our bus stop.  Wonderful, right?

I’ve started doing website management at work.  I’ll also be publishing two iBooks over the summer!  I’m really excited.  I’ve also started creating a personal/professional webpage.  It should be helpful when job searching.

It’s time to go back to packing now that my vacation, which included taking the GRE, is over.  I have to report to work on Monday and summer classes begin on Thursday.  Time to let the fun begin!

Oh My Goodness!

I just saw that Ben Platt (Benji from Pitch Perfect) is also Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon! If I can’t see the original cast, then I want to see it with his cast.

I think Rhinoceros is my favorite.  Haha
